On August 6, Akhror Burkhanov, Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the State of Washington, met with Jun Qian, Vice President of Generative AI Services at Oracle Corporation.
The discussion focused on Uzbekistan’s rapidly developing digital and innovation ecosystem, generative artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, large-scale data management, digital education, startup support, and the development of modern technology infrastructure.
It was noted that the ongoing digitalization of public administration and key sectors of the economy is driving growing demand for secure cloud infrastructure, advanced database technologies, and artificial intelligence solutions.
The Consul General also presented information on Uzbekistan’s wide-ranging reforms, its young and talented population, and the country’s efforts to become one of the leading regional centers for artificial intelligence and digital innovation.
The parties exchanged views on opportunities to introduce AI and cloud technologies, train qualified specialists, establish educational programs with universities, and support promising technology initiatives.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain dialogue, jointly explore new opportunities for cooperation, and further strengthen relations between Uzbekistan and Oracle.
