Today in Samarkand, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio held the inaugural meeting of the Uzbekistan–United States Enhanced Strategic Partnership Dialogue.
The launch of this mechanism marks an important step toward further strengthening bilateral relations.
“We had a comprehensive exchange of views on ensuring the full and timely implementation of the agreements reached between our countries’ leaders, expanding trade and investment, and advancing cooperation in energy, critical minerals, and advanced technologies. We also paid particular attention to education, cultural and people-to-people ties, and security cooperation,” Saidov stated.
Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister noted that the dialogue provides a solid foundation for strengthening mutual trust, advancing joint projects, and pursuing new initiatives within the strategic partnership.
