Representatives of the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the State of Washington held a candid and constructive meeting with Jonathan Young, City Manager of SeaTac.
The discussion focused on opportunities to further strengthen Uzbekistan’s ties with the City of SeaTac, the Greater Seattle area, and the broader U.S. Pacific Northwest.
One of the principal topics was the prospect of opening Uzbekistan’s first Trade House in SeaTac. It was noted that this initiative could help promote Uzbek products in the U.S. market, establish direct connections with local buyers and distributors, and expand export opportunities.
The proposed Trade House could serve as a permanent platform for engagement between Uzbek producers and American businesses, while creating additional opportunities for trade, investment, logistics, and new commercial partnerships.
The parties also exchanged views on further examining the organizational and practical aspects of the initiative and engaging interested companies and institutions in the process.
The Consulate General expressed its sincere appreciation to Jonathan Young for the warm welcome and constructive dialogue and confirmed its readiness to steadily advance practical cooperation with the City of SeaTac.
